Triptych is a visual interpretation of sound as well as being a graphic score, where visual materials are interpreted sonically. Each color represents a different tone, the white spaces are representing silence. The work is performed by following the black lines through the piece, playing the colors encountered. For this piece, the graphic score is interpreted with a pump organ / harmonium, an instrument rooted in Northern Norwegian coastal culture.

These three paintings are made so that the green flows back into red, allowing for non-stop sound. This also allows for a print of the score to be presented in circular form or in a triangle.
Have a listen, or try it yourself!
Follow the lines and play a sound when there is a color.
Each line represents different octave from top to bottom.
To make it easier to follow, the video has the middle line representing the time.
Red = D#
Blue = F#
Green = G#
You might need a friend to play all the octaves at once!
