I FJÆRA (2024)

Binaural sound + video

The tidal zone is an introvert place.

The world is disappearing while you sink deeper and deeper observing smaller and smaller details.

The work is based on sound recordings from the tidal zone in Vesterålen in Northern Norway. The material is composed for headphones to create an intimate listening situation, with video to give context to the sounds that can seem abstracted from their original state.
