WATERFALL (2016)

Composition of original sound for “Music & Quilt” collaboration with Hilde van Schaardenburg

3D art installation Waterfall is a combination of 275 x 115 cm quilt and music composed using field recordings recorded in western Norway autumn 2011, a synthesizer resembling water drops, which evolves into melodies, and small natural clicks on the recording of the water, is cut into rhythmic patterns. Instead of recreating the sound of a waterfall, the idea was to create a musical piece that creates a waterfall in the listeners mind.

TWO SIDES OF THE RIVER (2023)

Collaboration with Pavlo Grazhdanskij. A follow-up to the same named artwork from a year earlier. Imagined by the artists, a call and response sound experience across the Pasvik river, which could not take place as planned because authorities in Nikel silenced one side of the performance due to the risk of a “snow storm”. One year later, the artists present a sad memory of the event.
